Chelsea Simpson lives at the intersection of art, experiential education and social justice. Having lived in El Salvador for several years, leading delegations between U.S. students and rural communities, a focus of her work is fostering American– in the greater sense, of North, Central, and South America– understanding, identity, fun, and art.
TATIP Work
Chelsea is an Advanced trainee and she has been completing her residency with CWP Teaching Artists Molly Goldman and Felipe Galindo at PS 84 in Brooklyn.
"The application for my Teaching Artist Training & Internship Program has been powerful and broad. The teaching methodology is extremely well-facilitated, clearly communicated, and reflected upon with sophistication. I have been teaching language and writing workshops to adult English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) students with an amazing organization called Make the Road, and I use skills that I’ve picked up from the TATIP program daily."
